Cocos island National Park was named a World Heritage site in 1997. Weather permitting, Wind Dancer guests are shuttled ashore to hike through the lush jungles of Cocos Islands and swim in her multiple waterfalls. All ten-day trips include seven days of diving. The Wind Dancer departs from the port town of Punteranas.
Getting There:
Cocos Island is located off the coast of Costa Rica. Guests must fly to San Jose, Costa Rica for a two-hour air-conditioned bus ride to Puntarenas. The Okeanos Aggressor will then take you approximately 32 hours to Cocos Island.
Most major airlines fly into San Jose, Costa Rica: American, Iberia, United, Delta, Lacsa and US Airways. There is a daily Iberia flight from Madrid, Spain to San Jose. An overnight stay in San Jose is usually required prior to the trip due to difficult airline schedules. .
