Day 1: Arrive in Managua , 45-minute transfer to Granada. Granada is a beautiful little city and always a favorite of first time visitors. It has the brightly painted buildings, the horse-drawn carriages, etc. Relax at hotel pool, wander city in the evening. Stay at Hotel Plaza Colon or similar

Day 2: Breakfast and we will catch a horse-and-carriage ride through the city's enchanting cobbled streets and down to the lakeshore, where we will enjoy a panga (boat) tour of Isletas on the Lake Nicaragua in morning (The isletas are a group of 365 small islands scattered about the Asese peninsula. The islets are of volcanic origin, they were formed when the Mombacho volcano blew much of its cone into the lake thousands of years ago, thereby creating the archipelago. Most of islets are covered with vegetation and rich with bird life, good chance of seeing Howler Monkeys here), this afternoon we will visit the Santa Catarina outlook, The viewpoint of Catarina is one of the highest hills surrounding the Apoyo Lagoon, and the view from there is superb. You can see the whole lagoon as well as Lake Nicaragua behind it. The Mombacho volcano borders the lake and is also prominently present, from here we will end our day at the Masaya volcanoe, its quite impressive to drive directly into the mouth of this place, if time is available we will visit the markets and then return to hotel.

Day 3
Morning transfer to the town of Rivas, located about 2 hours from Granada where we board the ferry to the island of Ometepe, in Lake Nicaragua, a lake that the Spanish conquerors called the ‘fresh water sea’ because of its sheer size. The name Ometepe means ‘two hills’ in the native ‘náhuatl’ language. The island measures 276 square kilometers and it houses two majestic volcanoes connected through a small strip of land. Upon arrival we ride for about 1 hour to reach our hotel, tihs afternoon we will have no activities so you will be able to enjoy the water of the Nicaragua lake. Overnight at hotel Villas Paraiso.

Day 4
This morning we will enjoy a cultural tour of Ometepe island, we will visit the museum and the statues around the courtyard of the church in Altagracia. Then we head to Charco Verde, The natural reserve of Charco Verde located at kilometer 11 has a lagoon separated from the lake by a narrow strip of land with spectacular flora and fauna. The area is famous throughout whole Ometepe for its fascinating myths. The forest of Charco Verde is inhabited by three howler monkey families of about 70 individuals each. Migratory and local birds can also be found within the area, as well as insects and even boas. Here we include a one hour walk on a path where we will hopefully see a troop of monkeys. After lunch in Charco Verde, we continue to El Porvenir farm. Here you will be able to enjoy a very beautiful natural view and many petroglyphs and tropical trees such as mango, avocado and palm trees. The guide will explain how the natives made their drinks for traditional celebrations, this will be our last stop and we return to our hotel and time to enjoy some more lake shore.

Day 5
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to the dock in order to catch our ferry back to Rivas, upon arrival to mainland we will head directly to San Juan del Sur and enjoy some great quality time at this beach. The town of San Juan del Sur has almost everything: hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, language schools, a post office, a central park, a municipal market, a port, a police station and the famous bay of the same name.
